Navitus Health Solutions Announces Key Leadership Changes For the Next Phase of Growth, Innovation

September 24, 2024

MADISON, WISCONSIN – September 24, 2024 – Navitus Health Solutions, announced today the appointment of Sharon Faust, PharmD, MBA, CSP, as its new Chief Pharmacy Officer (CPO). She succeeds Brent Eberle, RPh, who is departing to become President of CivicaScript. Also announced today is the appointment of Carrie Aiken as Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), and Darryl Munden as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Each of them will be expanding their current roles with these new responsibilities and all will report directly to Navitus Health Solutions CEO, David Fields. This furthers the company’s focus to grow as a pharmacy solutions provider, uniquely championing a transparent business model and a people-first mission.Sharon Faust joined Navitus in 2014, and was most recently the Senior Vice President of Specialty Pharmacy at Lumicera Health Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Navitus Health Solutions. Working alongside Eberle, they created a strong focus on keeping the patient at the center of every decision. Her leadership was pivotal to advancing accessibility of specialty products through Lumicera’s industry-leading cost-plus model and furthering a best-in-class patient support model. Lumicera delivers transparent, acquisition-cost pricing with no hidden fees along with condition-specific support from experienced clinicians and partners. The contributions of these leaders and their teams are exemplified by Lumicera achieving an exceptional patient net promoter score of 85.5.

“Lumicera is highly regarded for delivering superior pharmacy care. As Chief Pharmacy Officer for the broader organization, I will seek to champion these fundamentals and continue to put the needs of our clients and members first,” said Faust. “I am honored to have this opportunity to lead a world-class team and will continue to push for innovative, safe and effective ways to serve our clients, members, and patients every day.”

“Sharon’s extensive experience and proven track record with Lumicera make her the ideal leader to drive our mission of improving health outcomes and enhancing cost transparency,” said David Fields. “We recognize and thank Brent for his 20 years with our organization and the strides he’s made here. His leadership had a significant impact on our industry, including in the national discussions around PBM transparency and quality patient care. Navitus Health Solutions and CivicaScript share in our missions to make essential medications more accessible and affordable – we will continue to strengthen our efforts together with Brent at the helm.”

Navitus doubles down on leadership and expertise to further solidify its position as a trusted innovator in the PBM landscape.

The Navitus PBM has maintained its unique model of passing all negotiated savings to plan sponsors and health plans. This approach allows Navitus to make medications more affordable for its clients and members, unlike traditional PBMs that retain an undisclosed portion of rebates, fees or network value for profit. With these new leadership appointments, Navitus seeks to further strengthen its market position, as the broader PBM industry faces increasing pressure for greater transparency, cost control, improved drug pricing and patient access.

These strategic roles are effective immediately:

  • Carrie Aiken is being promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer. In addition to her duties as Chief Compliance Officer, Aiken will expand her responsibilities to oversee Human Resources.
  • Darryl Munden, currently Chief Enterprise Strategy and Technology Officer, will assume expanded responsibilities as Chief Operating Officer. Munden will have a concentrated focus on operational efficiencies, ensuring technology and business collaboration to streamline processes, optimize service and capabilities roadmaps, and enhance health outcomes for clients and members.

“These exceptional leaders reflect our commitment to developing talent and supporting growth from within our organization. We are confident we have the right team in place to effectively navigate the ever-evolving industry opportunities and challenges in order to drive future growth and impact,” added Fields.
