February 17, 2015

MADISON, Wis., February 17, 2015 – Lumicera Health Services, LLC, (Lumicera), a Wisconsin-based specialty pharmacy, announced today that it has been awarded full URAC accreditation for specialty pharmacy services (Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation, Version 2.0). URAC is an independent, nonprofit healthcare accrediting organization dedicated to promoting healthcare quality through accreditation, education and measurement. This is a 3-year accreditation, effective through June 1, 2017.

Open since February 2014, Lumicera is dedicated to improving specialty pharmacy care, one patient at a time, through educational, clinical, financial and service excellence. Lumicera is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Navitus Health Solutions, LLC, a Wisconsin-based pharmacy benefit manager.

“This accreditation is a significant accomplishment for us,” said Jamie Wong, Pharmacist-in-Charge at Lumicera. “Achieving specialty pharmacy accreditation validates our ongoing commitment to quality and continuous improvement.”

The URAC accreditation process demonstrates a commitment to quality services and serves as a framework to improve business processes through benchmarking organizations against nationally recognized standards.

“Lumicera’s achievement of URAC accreditation within the first year of opening demonstrates the companywide attention to quality,” noted Terry Seligman, President & CEO of Navitus. “Having gone through URAC accreditation reviews at Navitus, our staff has built policies and procedures to pass along best practices to Lumicera staff.”

“By applying for and receiving URAC accreditation, Navitus has demonstrated a commitment to quality healthcare,” said URAC President and CEO Kylanne Green. “Quality healthcare is crucial to our nation’s welfare and it is important to have organizations that are willing to measure themselves against national standards and undergo rigorous evaluation by an independent accrediting body.”
