Clark County, Nevada Partners with Navitus Health Solutions for Pharmacy Benefit Management

March 7, 2017

MADISON, Wis., March 7, 2017 – Navitus Health Solutions announced today that it has partnered with Clark County, Nevada (“County”) to provide pharmacy benefit management (PBM) services for its public sector employees using the self-funded prescription drug plan. The agreement is an annual contract that began on January 1, 2017 with the option to renew for six (6), one-year periods. The County serves more than 20 thousand public employees, including a Medicare population.

The County sought a partner to provide its participants with high-touch PBM services that offered prompt and accurate claims administration and superior customer service. Navitus’ reputation for providing outstanding Customer Care along with its impressive implementation process ultimately won the business. “Throughout the implementation process, we collaborated closely with the County to establish a mutual confidence that we foresee lasting for many years to come,” said Terry Seligman, President & CEO at Navitus Health Solutions.

Additionally, the County sought a business partner that was experienced in providing a Medicare Part D Employee Group Waiver Plan (EGWP). Navitus’ well-established 5-Star rated EGWP Program ensures that the County’s plan participants are receiving the highest quality clinical care and customer service.

Finally, specialty pharmacy services, the fastest trending cost component of the pharmacy benefit, were of critical importance to the County. To meet this need, Navitus was able to offer services through Lumicera Health Services, Navitus’ wholly-owned specialty pharmacy. Lumicera offers the first and only 100% transparent, fee-for-services specialty pharmacy.
