Navitus Announces Navitus Key, a Best-in-Class PBM Solution for Employers with Less than 5,000 Members

First acquired in 2021, EpiphanyRx is now the Navitus Key solution under the Navitus PBM brand

Madison, Wisconsin – June 26, 2025 – Navitus Health Solutions today announced it will sunset the EpiphanyRx brand within its portfolio, effective January 1, 2026. This decision follows the acquisition of EpiphanyRx in 2021 and the strategic decision to deliver a range of pharmacy benefit management (PBM) solutions across multiple lines of business under a single brand, Navitus.

KFF estimates that 164 million people in the United States receive health insurance through an employer. Nearly three-quarters of these employers have 5,000 employees or less. Within this market segment, the breadth and level of support provided in the health benefit can vary widely and employers are often underserved by traditional PBMs. In contrast, Navitus Key is the market-leading solution for employers with 5,000 members or less, providing a tailored offering designed to manage costs and lower drug spend while providing high-touch clinical and account support.

Founded as the nation’s first transparent and 100% pass-through PBM more than 20 years ago, Navitus Health Solutions currently serves over 18 million lives across 800 clients including employers, unions, government plans, payers and health systems.

“For businesses with fewer than 5,000 members, just one high-cost prescription can significantly impact their pharmacy benefit spend,” said Diana Gibson Pace, Chief Growth Officer at Navitus Health Solutions. “This critical challenge is precisely why we acquired EpiphanyRx and reinforces our dedication to this often-overlooked market.”

Navitus Key is optimized to provide a comprehensive, fully-bundled PBM offering that controls drug cost trends over time. The solution focuses on:

  • Clinical Value: Low net-cost strategies provide value for clients and members
  • Specialty Drug Management: Built-in strategies are designed to lower costs by managing specialty drug spend within the benefit and through our cost-plus specialty pharmacy, Lumicera Health Services
  • Service Excellence: Employers experience a differentiated degree of hands-on, high-touch clinical and account support

“Our clinical approach to managing specialty drug costs includes Lumicera, our cost-plus specialty pharmacy. When combined with our pass-through PBM model that leverages generic-first strategies and timely adoption of biosimilars, the result is a powerful combination for employers striving to deliver impactful benefits that help employees care for themselves and their families,” said Sharon Faust, PharmD, MBA, CSP, Chief Pharmacy Officer at Navitus Health Solutions.

“We are incredibly proud of what the EpiphanyRx brand has represented over the years,” said Gibson Pace. “We are committed to continuing to deliver best-in-class service through the Navitus Key solution to maximize savings and value for our clients.”
